Terracotta Warriors Invade America

Pinay Travel Junkie’s visit at the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China.

Longing to see the Terracotta Army of Qin Shi Huang in China, but currently in the U.S.? You need not spend on that expensive plane ticket and travel thousands of miles. A few of the Terracotta Army’s warriors are in town, and their two-year U.S. tour’s final stop is at the National Geographic Museum in Washington DC. Exhibit opened last December 21st, and will run until March 31, 2010.

Admission fee is an affordable $12 for adults, $5 for the audio tour (available in English, Spanish and Mandarin). December tickets already sold out, for availability and promo prices check out NatGeos’ site.

Heads-up for my fellow shutterbug Pinoys, photography is strictly prohibited. Read this before heading to the museum.

When not backpacking, she teaches her daughter sight words and belly dancing (even if she's not good at it). She's currently eating her way around some hippie town in Australia. She loves talking about herself in the third person.
