The wind hit us hard. I struggled to keep my balance, and so did everyone. We were merry nonetheless, and making the most out of SEAir’s Batanes Winter Bloggers’ Tour. We ran around Batan Island’s pasture like kids, and shrieked with delight when we caught sight of horses grazing.
We screamed our hearts all the more when James took off his shirt and put on a hat to pose as a haciendero for us. And we didn’t have to beg much, he’s cool like that.
Parang Kevin Costner lng ah sa Dances With Wolves.
Hahaha! Mas guwapo si James.
Great photo Gay! make me want to visit Batanes now despite my self – imposed ban on traveling until end of November!
Hmm… I bet that self-imposed travel ban is for an upcoming trip Ate Mhe-Anne ;p
Hehe. Just met this guy a couple of days ago. He mentioned your Batanes trip, when I told him about you 🙂
SIGH… Batanes. I hope my plans of going back here before the year end pushes through…
Really Kim! Awesome guy, ain’t he? ;p
Good luck Gladys! Hope it pushes thru.
Nice snapshot, it looks like hacienda with the vast grass fields from Batanes like that. Everything is a wide space inviting for a free wild run and wander.
Very nice! I thought sa ibang bansa until I read the text. 😀 Batanes is one of the places na gusto kong puntahan within this year but it looks like the typhoon season won’t let me do that 🙁
Thanks Ian. We were like kids in a ginormous playground.
Hi Gabz, Batanes does look like a place in a different country. If you like the freezing season, visit around February 🙂
Along with El Nido, Batanes is still unconquered territory for me. Every time I’m in the Philippines, I always ran out of time *sigh*
wow! may kabayo haha, puro kalabaw at baka lang ang nakita ko dun haha ang saya!
Dennis, I’m certain you’ll be able to visit El Nido and Batanes someday!
Jerome, The first time I visited Batanes, I don’t remember seeing any horses too. Hehe.
i want to go and bring my family to batanes! it’s in my list, really!
I-set na yan Doc Gelo, when you guys visit Pinas 🙂

Yeah Anton. It’s just so much fun having James around.
I miss batanes too. Bakit nga ba di ko pa rin natatapos ang blog series ko? haha. parang ung mga masasayang trip ko, nahihirapan akong i-blog. lol. Am hoping one of these days, ma-blog ko na rin.
Haha! Izah, couldn’t even begin sharing the stuff we did. Every time I reminisce I end up laughing, then I find it difficult to write about it.
