Nepal Tourist Visa On Arrival For Filipinos

Easy peasy. A polar opposite of even the most undemanding Himalayan trek.

Okay, that comparison’s quite silly.

Nepal tourist visa is available on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (at its land borders as well) and can be obtained fuss-free by almost all nationalities so long as requirements are met. How to apply, you ask?

Requirements for Nepal Tourist Visa On Arrival Application

1. Passport must have at least six months of validity.
2. Filled out application form (don’t forget to bring a pen). Form’s provided upon arrival and can be found on a table at the arrivals hall (some airlines provide the forms aboard the flight). If you wish to download the form, it’s available here: http://www.immi.gov.np/download/app1.pdf
3. One passport-sized photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm). If you’re not able to bring, there’s a photo booth near the immigration counter where you can have it taken.
4. Payment of US $25 for a 15-day tourist visa, US $40 for a 30-day visa, and US $100 for a 90-day visa. At Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, visa fee is payable in any major currency  but at land borders officials might require US dollars. All visas are multiple entry.

Note to parents: If you’re traveling with a child (aged 10 below), bring his/her birth certificate. It was prolly some random check, but we were asked for this document even though it ain’t listed as a requirement. Child’s visa was free at the time of our trip (June 2013).

Simply line up, ready with your requirements at the immigration counter. Processing time is quick, your wait mainly depends on how short or long the queue is.

And that is all there is to it.
